… a coin at the bottom of a suitcase, and with it, memories of a lovely trip to Japan. I tossed the coin on a tabletop and that’s where the sun touched it.

Love every aspect of this: from the coin itself, to the sunlight touching it, to the blurry background, to the concept of tossing the coin! Like the I Ching, in a way —
Your photo adds so much to the coin. It gives it a richness which is of course appropos. I have found coins at the bottom of suitcases, but never thought to photograph them like you did here. Lovely.
