As a child I made mud pies dusted with dry sand as if it were confectionery sugar, but sculpting sand into delicate forms?Β Never learned that magic art.
This particular sculpture, Imprinted, was one of several featured at this weekend’s Revere Beach Sand Sculpting Festival and was created by artist Sue McGrew from Tacoma, Washington.
Love these !
WOW
I agree with you! This sculpture did not win first prize but it was my favorite. π

I find these amazing sand sculptors fascinating. Some of them are beyone imagination. This one is quite beautiful. Love the way the hands are imprinted. Thanks for sharing!
I, too, love the way the hands are an imprint rather than molded – truly the hand of the sculptor!
Whoa.
I went to a sand sculpture festival last year and thoroughly enjoyed the artwork (it really is art!). Loving the photos that represent all the hard work of the artists.
Just amazing.
