Clever poem and nice photo. I once wrote a story that featured moths, and I learned that they are not attracted to light so much as they are pulled into it; stunned, they stay there. Turn off the light and they break away.

I love looking at these three moths. They express something sad, tender, and extraordinarily beautiful. Instead of flying to our deaths in a blaze of light, perhaps we could simply stop long enough to gaze at this photo, and know (as the moth knows) an intensity of beauty powerful enough to enlarge our perspective and awaken us to the immense tenderness of our authentic being.
Yuck… Sorry I am not a fan of moths…. for some reason they creep me out. As for the wonderful poem, reading it reminded me of this quote:
“If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”
― C.S. Lewis
The desire for beauty and peace…. the longing to be connected to something that is transcendent and inexplicable in form, vision and wisdom is why we take photos, walk along the shore, marvel at a babies toes, and stand speechless before a sunset… we are longing to go home…

I find their figures sort of mythic, like sages you come upon on the road in a story.
