All are welcome to gather by the water and rest awhile, the mallards and geese, and this colorful fellow, all I expect accept a hawk.

Your colorful fellow is a green-winged teal, says Lin’s bird book. The smallest “dabbling duck” in North America. How charming. He’s a beauty, isn’t he?
