As I took these photos, with my camera focused at the surface of a shallow pool, a little girl watched me.  I heard her mother’s encouraging words, “Go ask her what she’s doing.  Go ahead.”  She took a few steps toward me before deciding that the bird flying by was far more fascinating.  Her mom studied the water’s surface for a few moments though, and then with an acknowledging smile, she trailed off after her little one.

… for long spells of time I have been having much fun walking in the English rain.  I even hummed a bit as I walked through Oxford University Parks yesterday. Until the rains became too heavy … 😉

In Fall 2009, Steve and I visited the Blue Hills Reservation, a state park covering 7,000 acres south of Boston.   There we climbed an observation tower where I was able to snap these landscape shots, including one of Boston from afar.  With the weather warming up, we ventured back there recently.  Here are a few images from the day.  No tower shots … yet. 😉
