A woman ventured out on her lunch break. Her plan? To buy herself a cup of hot chocolate. Unfortunately that line in the store was too long. What did she do? She purchased an individual chocolate for herself and then for all of her coworkers. I was a lucky recipient of this unexpected little gift.

That was the color the bouquet of tulips appeared to be in the light of the shop. Then once brought home, placed in a vase, and bathed in the light of the sun all of these other colors appeared. An inspiring sight, to say the least.

What brightens a long day? Arriving home to a big envelope. At first, I was thinking , “Oh, heck. What could this be?” I flip over the envelope and see the magic words. “Love Jordan.” My nephew and in the kids postcard club. He’s not even half a dozen years old yet though he almost looks like he’s twelve. I exaggerate only a bit. I’m not sure if he’s ready for a stationery kit like Maya but I told his parents to let him know that since he sent me a beautiful flower I am planning to send him a hummingbird (postcard).

A butterfly mobile. A gift given many years ago by a friend. The wings are growing a bit threadbare and dust is adding a fuzzy film. Regardless, still a lovely source of inspiration, and occasionally contemplation,  whenever it catches the light.

As he later explained, he knew he’d done something. Or maybe he hadn’t done something.  Regardless just in case he owed me an apology, he decided to pick up this plant and leave it sitting in the sun for me to photograph. 😉 Have a good rest of the week, folks.
