A few blossoms found by the seashore this weekend.  They suddenly glowed in a shaft of afternoon light.

Well, I don’t know if you remember the nasturtium that I raved about earlier in the summer:  Nasturtium I and Nasturtium II.  My green thumb has not been so green of late so the plant has not survived.  But even in death, I think it is quite beautiful.

Queen Anne’s Lace, also known as “wild carrot,” grows widely and wildly along the Charles River.  It is so abundant that I sometimes ignore the sprawling plants, pushing it aside to get a glimpse of rarer, more colorful life.  But sometimes the leaves and flowers of this plant catch the light in such a way that I cannot ignore their beauty.
