You’d almost think it was spring where I am, there are that many blossoms in the kitchen.

Reflected in the waters are the usual plants found by freshwater and also the long lines of neighboring buildings. No fish have I seen at this juncture yet nor turtles or frogs. The ducks seem to have a good time when they drop in, and there are many colorful dragonflies.

In response to the previous post, I received some inquiries about availability of prints. Glossy and metallic prints, 5×7 and 11×14, are available for online purchase via this link. There you’ll find these and other images taken during my various hikes by the water and wherever the wind blows me.

The images are fairly unique and the prints are sized to facilitate matting and/or framing for easy display. The printing is top quality. I hope you enjoy, and have the opportunity to peruse other images on the site: http://photosbycynthia.smugmug.com/

… it was this photo of sunlit branches by the Charles River that was selected by the jurors. 😉 A framed print will be appearing in the Riverside Gallery’s 3rd Annual Juried exhibit, “African American Artists – Passion for a Lifetime – 2014”. I hope if you’re in the area you’ll drop by the opening reception on Sunday, October 26th, 3-5 PM. I’ve seen some of the other selected works and it is a beautiful and stunning mix of media and themes. The show will run through January 2015.
Other artists in this show include:

I’m not completely sure what Thoreau meant by that phrase but those are the words that surface as I review these photos. They do capture a bit of the mood of my mind.

Appreciating the light. Both intrigued and challenged by the darkness. In an abstract space, and feeling like that’s not a bad space to be in creatively, but …

… also knowing that, especially on a Monday morning, one needs to find some focus. Or fake it really well.

I’m hoping another cup of coffee might help. Have a good day, folks. 😉
