I was tempted to title this post, Cohabitation, since it is a bumblebee amidst “fairies,” as so many people have called the dandelion seeds.  But I decided to go with the name of the person who gave me the bumblebee.  She found it on the ground on her way into work and thought I might like to photograph it. 😉

Not to rush time, but I am happy to share that I have two 2013 calendars available for purchase:  Leaves and Petals and Butterflies and Moths.  I’ve ordered them both and am quite pleased with the quality. Even though many people keep detailed schedules on their phones these days, for those who still like to put pen to paper or just glance at a wall calendar with a peaceful image, I hope these items will be of interest for personal use or as a gift.  I have one more calendar planned before year’s end and its imagery will focus on food.  Stay tuned. 😉

… but I couldn’t help myself.  Sometimes I find dragonflies on the ground and sometimes I find moths.  On occasion, I spy spiders sitting on silken webs in a corner of the house.

I’ve yet to photograph the mouse that refuses to wear diapers else he’d be welcome to stay.  In the end, they are all beautiful creatures.

While doing some very late spring cleaning, I came across two butterflies I created a few years ago.  At the time I think I was at a multi-pronged fork in the road.  As my mind mulled over next steps, I needed to keep my hands busy.  This is what I produced.
