national cat day?

Well, what do you know! I’ve just been informed that today is National Cat Day. That’s all the excuse I need to share this photo of a friend’s kitten trying on her Halloween attire. I should mention that the friend happens to be an Egyptologist. Can you guess what the little one is meant to be? Take a good look at her headdress. Pharoah! 🙂

The beauty found when one wanders the Boston Museum of Fine Art. I’ll write down the artist’s name when next I visit. Have a good weekend, folks.

All races, all genders, all ages, the faithful and perhaps an atheist or two … didn’t matter … as people protested peacefully in Copley Square yesterday, they were united by a desire to be treated with respect and dignity, and to be able to earn a living wage. by the river

One of the great pleasures for me in living in the Greater Boston area is ease of access to nature. And by “ease of access” that can mean taking two trains, a bus and then walking half a mile or so, but still, I know that I am lucky to be where I am and that on any given day I can make my way to at least two major rivers, the Charles, and in the case of this image applied to a pouch and on stationery, the Mystic River. You can learn more about the Mystic River watershed here and peruse other items with this image here.
