I guess if I had to sum it up the year 2018 is ending as a year of color. I cannot sit down at the kitchen table without the winter morning light illuminating something and making it a new discovery. Who knows what the new year holds but I do hope it continues to be one of discovery and learning and growth. Happy New Year, folks! 🙂

I’m having a great time playing with the early autumn light. Use these acrylic blocks as suncatchers or paperweights or both. You can find them in one of my online shops by clicking here.

I’m hoping to expand the collection throughout the autumn in time for holiday needs but I think they make unique gifts anytime of year.

In addition to my own images, I see exciting opportunities to work with the digitized images of great works of art that are now available for use in the public domain. The creative journey continues. 🙂

I didn’t intend to photograph this part of dinner but I felt compelled when the late afternoon sun fell upon the bowl.

The salad is composed of garbanzo beans, bell peppers, red onions, marinated artichokes, chopped tomatoes, tossed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper to taste. I almost topped it with the nasturtium bloom but that would have been over the top. 🙂

Very fun to watch this edible herb growing all winter long. And eating it, too! 🙂

It will take awhile for me to download all of the pictures taken during this road trip once more to Dublin, Ireland but one image that I do want to share is of these trees painted on the restaurant window of di luca wines & trattoria. A local artist works with the restaurant to change the window scene. After I am gone the window will become more winter themed though these white trees do remind me of winter. We were lucky enough to get a table at this restaurant. Food was great and the people, both staff and other diners, were wonderful. If you have chance, do visit:Â https://www.diluca.ie/
