An impromptu dinner salad:  two tomatoes sliced, topped with chopped red onion and fresh basil leaves, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Filling for a 3-egg omelet:  chopped smoked salmon, gruyere cheese, tiny bit of red onion, and an assortment of chopped herbs (parsley, chervil and whatever else caught the chef’s eyes).

A quick breakfast:  a few slices of bread, buttered and then toasted, served with a handful of fresh raspberries.  Coffee and cream on the side.  Overall, a yummy week, I must say.

p.s. Thanks to all for the potato recipes. In the end, they were cooked with some butter and garlic and sprinkled with herbs. You never know what the future holds, but if I do grow potatoes next year, I have my eyes on a bigger pot. 😉

Yesterday, as the sun was setting, I decided to focus on the earth instead of the sky.

Between the angle of the light and the new color upon the budding bush outside my window, the branches did seem to have fiery glow.

That glow became a little less fiery after I stopped photographing the curtain as well.

But whether bark or cloth, it was all a beautiful sight in the fading sunlight.

… they did keep falling gently into the puddles.  The puddles had been formed earlier in the morning when the heavy rains fell.  As the rain eased I decided to see what would happen if I tried to photograph the ripples upon the waters.  Afterwards as I played with brightness, contrast and color, the images  reminded me of a watery universe.  I’m not sure why my mind is in the stars of late, but … I am going to go with the flow and so I have created a temporary gallery pairing these water universe pics with my black sands universe series.  Enjoy. 😉
